The 4 Steps to Get Started

Like Alice in Wonderland talking to the Cheshire cat, if you don’t know where you want to go, any road will get your there.

Pick a sizeable goal, like replacing your income, or becoming a millionaire.

Later, when you get there, be sure to set another destination and keep going – and that goal might be different. You just always need a goal to strive for.

2. Pick a SystemOnce you have a goal, you will need a vehicle, like a car, to get you there. In MLM, this means your company. Decide who you will represent.

If you already have a company, that’s great. I just want to add one thing in the form of a short anecdote.

I joined several companies years ago. In 2006, I joined another. I’ve finally realized for myself that I don’t like the health related companies, though I love their products and I still use them.

Instead, I have found my niche in another field.

Have you learned anything about yourself like this? Do you know what field you belong in? Some people can work in any field – which is fine. But if you find work hard, you might be in the wrong field.

3. Learn How Marketing WorksYeah, different, I know. Most MLM’s suggest you start making a list and calling them. This activity, writing down everyone since kindergarten and then contacting them is their way of teaching you marketing.

If you succeed in going through that list, you will have 2 distributors and several weeks under your belt, and maybe the beginnings of a check.

To reach higher levels of MLM success, you will need to understand marketing and practice it better, more like your favorite TV or radio station.

To start learning marketing, you can get books by Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg. These will help, and they are short books. These two both have become huge successes in MLM, and can teach you the basics quick.

4. Start Collecting MLM LeadsWhether you follow your company’s advice, Mike Dillard’s ideas, or Ann Sieg’s formula, you must do one thing:

Get MLM Leads.

If all you can do it make a list of friends from 8th grade, then do it. If you have some money and you can advertise, great, start advertising. Or you can start with free methods, like posting signs around your town.

You know the ones: investor seeks apprentice, or lose 40 lbs by Mother’s day…

Or setting up a website that collects leads day and night.
