Best MLM Categories

1. Wellness/Supplements
You can find dozens of these. Powders, supplement capsules, pills, fruits from the rainforest, from Asia, from South America. This is a fun group of companies!

They have high energy. They offer great benefits to help your health and energy. Many of the products have little or no direct competition. You can start with one of these network marketing companies and soon have a group of customers using the product and loving it.

What makes this work:You can make a bottle of supplement capsules or drink mix powder for under $5, and then sell it for over $50. It has a very high perceived value.

Wellness products also have a very wide variety. You can create a whole line of products around one formula or even one ingredient. And of course everyone wants better health.

This category seems to have no limit. Watch for continued growth.

2. Skin Care/Personal Care (make-up)
This category has built many fortunes, including the pink ladies with pink cars. That’s a fun bunch, and you can find several companies in this category.

These products have a similar perceived value to the wellness products above, and a similar cost to manufacture. While the appeal slightly favors the women’s market, you can still expect to see this category grow, and more fortunes made.

3. Education
This category has some early winners, and great growth potential. Education has a huge perceived value, and offers a real payback.

You’ll find only a few companies in this area right now, but they appear to be financially strong, and have room for growth. I like this area as it appeals to my desire to improve myself.

4. Gifts/Home Décor
This category has increased over the past few years. The mark up on the products doesn’t allow for the same profits as wellness and personal care businesses, but you can still find some of the best MLM companies in these areas.

Whether it’s toys, books, decorations, or kitchen items, these businesses keep working. The tangible products they sell offer a great opportunity to those that want to show off benefits you can touch.

Plus, the parties are just fun. They have all these things to play with, not like tasting a juice or new energy bar.

5. Professional Services
While this category has been around for quite some time, only a few of the best MLM companies fit the bill. Several have tried and failed, but at least two still exist and seem to thrive.

One of the best parts about this area is that you don’t have to be a professional in the area you like to get started. A big plus, since some of them require advanced degrees.

My Story

I bounced around in the first couple of categories for a while. I didn’t do well, and I didn’t know why. Finally, I started looking at other categories, like professional services and education.

Finally, I realized that while tons of companies offer wellness products, I don’t like to work in that field. Nothing wrong with wellness, of course, and many people love that area. But it’s not for me.

Be true to yourself. If you like the best MLM companies in wellness, or their products, that’s great. If not, look into other fields and see if you fit better somewhere else.
